Fairline 29 Targa

Post by BoMic » Sat Jan 11, 2020 7:18 pm

Hello,

I am a proud owner of my first Fairline 29 Targa.

My first question is how to replace the tap in the bathroom. I noticed 4 screws in the compartment below the tap but it is still stuck.

Who can help?

Please see attachments.

Its difficult to see at the pictures what you want to remove...perhaps its sealed or bonded with something?

I think it's sealed so I will try to cut it and then remove the compartment.

Hi BoMic

Not sure if you've managed this yet but FYI, this GRP bin is indeed sealed in place. Once you have removed all the fittings and have cut around the silicone, the bin should come out. If it doesn't you may find that it has been stuck in with Sikaflex in which case you will have to try to cut through this by going in a little deeper with a knife blade or what ever you are using to cut through this. I find a sharpened rep saw blade is useful for this.
Hope this helps.

Kind regards
