Outdrive trim sensor problem Targa 34

Post by Lyons Maid » Fri May 17, 2019 7:28 am

Targa 34 KAD 300 2005

When I go to start my port engine the outdrive display indicates -2 and then raises to read 38 beach.
The outdrive is not moving.
I understand this caused by the trim sensor not working.
I also understand to change the sensor the boat has to be lifted out and it is difficult to gain access to it on the port side engine.

The boat has not been used for pass 6 months and was fine when it was last used.

The straboard is fine.

Any advice would be welcome

I can't give you an answer other than it might start working again with a bit of use! I guess there's no harm in checking / cleaning any connections that are inside the boat.

To be honest, I have a T34 and could easily live without trim sensors for a season to avoid an unnecessary lift.
