Turbo 36 patio doors

Post by chris c » Thu Jul 14, 2011 11:04 am

Hello everyone, I am a new member to the Forum and only purchased my 1989 Fairline Turbo 36 last September, hence - new to everything! At the moment I have a problem with the sliding doors into the boat, It is very stiff and rough to slide. I have tried polish on the bottom runner, but to no avail. Is it possible to ajust the door ? I would be grateful for any help and advice.

Hello Chris and welcome.
I had the same problem on mine 3 years ago. On mine there is a hole at the bottom of the door on both opening edge. You should be able to insert a screwdriver and adjust the rollers up or down. However mine were siezed up. I asked a local patio door repair guy to look at it. He stripped the door out and fitted new rollers for around ?100 . Works like new now.
Good luck
