If you look on e Bay for fire ext supplies . I would go for clean air which was the old Halon now defunct . With dry powder apart from the mess the acid content stains any metal it comes in contact with I know from experience workshop fire . I have 4 in my engine room what price fire safety !!! . Al...

Thanks geotechnic Did think of a way similar using a bilge pump but not recirculating ,just pump out the exhaust . where is the exhaust water pipe located ?? is it a metal pipe with 2 bolts on top of turbo exhaust outlet ?? .

Cleaning heat exchangers TAMD40B

Has any owners of corniche 1985 TAMD40B engines used a Cleaner for raw water coolers with out removing the heat exchangers suggestion's being Redlyme or Barnacle Buster slight overheat over 3000rpm reduce throttle temp drops problem on only Starboard engine .

Many thanks geotechnic had a problem when last out stbd engine water temp went over 220 degrees run power down temp dropped poss expanded g/box cooler !!!! .

P.S looked at replacing gearboxes with new but seems a lot of trouble ZF 45A or ZF 63A.

HELP !!!! just been down to put new stern gland packing in starboard shaft . Checked gearbox oil appears to have water in it ??? This gear box was replaced in 2008 new . Port Gearbox old MS3C no problem . Always replaced anti freeze . Being as spares are non existent could it be run uncooled ??? . F...

Many thanks Simon my steering is on the port side in main cabin but appears to have a removable panel just aft of the steering position will investigate weekend

Help can any early Corniche 31 owners 1985 . Need to run a cable from lazeret to clocks above steering position. Does the panel above the helm position port side , appears to have capped screw at one end forward . Has anybody run cables down port side of this model . Also to run cables from interior...

Fairline Corniche 31 1985 VDO sum log . Last owner appears to have removed paddle wheel sensor from mounting any body know how to test unit ?? parts still available but MEGA price . Have read where people have attached new magnets to paddle wheel ?? , Many thanks Barry C
