Are you sure the steering wheel takes a square section pump shaft ? Normally they are a tapered fitting with a key? i assume your steering is hydraulic? In Guernsey, Channel Islands ( Europe) today it is very cold for time of year 4 deg c and the last two weeks we have had strong winds up to 75mph and wet but otherwise the autumn ( fall) was far better than a wet and windy summer here.

We fitted one a few years ago to a sedan 36 and i think we shortened the lower drawer under the forward bunk or removed the drawer body.

Otherwise a relatively easy fit.
