Squadron 42 fuel tank enlargement
Hi Having used the boat for longer trips it seems to me that the tanks are too small. At 16 knots we burn around 100 litres an hour. Falmouth to Scillies around 400 litres. Can get there and back with 20% reserve. Wondering about large void under Galley/ starboard cabin for third tank? Do some boats...

Teak flooring for Squadron 42 and others
Hi All,
After much searching I have found a source of the original random block flooring for the 42.
The factory has only 70 veneer sheets left to make into 8 by 4 boards.
Those wishing to put these into stock for future use please contact me direct.

Re: Squadron 42 - No AC Power
Hope it is resolved. Had the same issue. Start engines and wait a few minutes then switch on power. Voltage too low to make switch trip I suspect.
We have sorted switch on dash by connecting red to yellow whilst "on" which allows power to resume when it comes back on. light always illuminated.

Squadron 42 floor removal
Hi
Has anyone attempted this. Looking at it, the floor is screwed down and the teak ply glued down afterwards!
Just had two new coolers courtesy of Volvo as end caps leak. This job would have been so much easier if the floor could be removed.

Boats with screen demisters - check pipes
Hi, We have a Squadron 42 fitted with demisters. The eberspacher system takes fresh hot water from the calorifier and pumps it via a heat exchanger like a car heater. Ours is fitted above the starboard cabin wardrobe but this is not obvious as fascia glued on. The pipes are a real mess despite it be...

SQUADRON 42 -GAS LOCKER DANGEROUS
HI
We have an electric boat so gas locker seemed a good place to store fuel cans. Wrong, due to the fact all the drains under the seat run straight into the bilge and not piped outside. Please be aware of this as might cause explosion.

Re: Squadron 42 wiper motor
HI
Check that the nut at the top of the spline at the base of the wiper blade attachment is tight. Had similar problem with my boat last year. Check also wiring has not come off or loose under switch causing little current. Sept Seven looked good at darthaven last week.
