Re: Phantom 43 Water Heater

Hey Richard, great name by the way. It seems I may have just had some loose and leaky connections, fingers crossed it stays that way. In the meantime I had been investigating what the heater was and couldn't understand Fairline's wisdom when I discovered there is an opposite hand unit from the same ...

Phantom 43 Water Heater

Got down to the boat today after a few weeks and found the thermostat plug for the tube heater in the lazarette had failed and there was a lot of green fluid around. I assume antifreeze and that I have something broken in the water heater. The details that came with the boat say it is a Seaward heat...

Re: Auto Trim Tabs

I would recommend you use the boat first and see if you find yourself needing to adjust the tabs much.

I might make one adjustment to my tabs but never continually moving them that would warrant an automatic system. My boat is a phantom 43.

Solent get togethers

Well, doesn't seem to be much activity in this part of the forum! We berth in Lymington and always look forward to meeting like minded folk, if you own a Fairline we have at least one thing in common. Hoping to take a ride over to Cowes/Medina on Sunday and Yarmouth on Tuesday so if anyone is around...

Re: Full Tanks For Winter?

Having had petrol degradation issues in cars that have stood still for a few months in the past I would be inclined to keep the tanks as empty as possible so you can fill with fresh petrol when you are ready to use her next year. Depends if you want to use the boat during the winter really.

Re: Replacement wiper blades

Send Wiggley a PM on here, he has managed to source the OEM wipers for my Phantom 43.

Re: Phantom 43 Wiper Blades

Just to update this it looks like the wiper blades I removed from the boat are Bosch SP28 blades, available on Ebay at reasonable prices.

I do not know if these are the OE fit from new but they are what were on the boat when I purchased her.

Squadron 52

Just looking for a little insight into the Squadron 52, I viewed one for sale here in the UK earlier this week. I can't find too much information about the boats, probably due to it not being a popular boat when new. If anyone has some experience of the boat, things to look out for etc then I would ...
