Re: Targa 37 Power trim and tilt fault

Not sure ref KAD 44. But going from memory a KAD43 has a fuse on the right hand side (looking aft) of the engine block next to the oil filter. You could try subsituting the one on the good engine and see if that cures the problem. Incidentaly if you go to; https://www.volvopenta.com/marineleisure/en...

Re: Targa 37 Power trim and tilt fault

There should be two relays attached to the fluid reservoir mounting bracket.
I would suggest these are possibly the first things to check.

Try swapping over the port side with the stbd, and see if this cures the problem.

Re: Targa 29 helm control

Assuming we are talking ref the two buttons directly below the lever controls....... These have to be pressed to allow the drive trim to rise above say +6 degrees and into beach range. In other words there is a safety cut out in the electrical system that will NOT allow the drive to rise above a cer...

Re: Fairline logos

Later style text & shield logo design was introduced in autumn 1997.
Prior to that it was an italicised font without the shield.

A T37 therefore could have had either type depending on the year of build.

Re: Tips for changing impeller on Carrera, KAD 32

Changing impeller is much easier and above all quicker if you have an impeller removal tool. (pn 3843947) cost about £10. In effect it just winds the impeller off the shaft and out of the housing. As to flooding the boat: Fair to say its not standard practice to have a sea cock on a Volvo stern driv...

Re: T 38 stern drive calibration

Something not right here. Normal max trim down position should read something like -4 degrees. The actual physical amount of maximum “deflection” of the leg itself is unadjustable. But the figure indicated on the gauge is. Do not know the model of drive that you have. I stress all comments below are...

Re: Bit of a clean up

The actual window positioning itself, and the gap between both windows was always variable +/- a few millimetres. Hence the graphics always had the sections next to the windows supplied slightly over length to allow for this potential variation. We still supply as such, better to be fractional too l...

Re: Replacement boat badges

There is no problem with supplying the flat self-adhesive versions of Targa, Phantom, Squadron, Fairline names, or shields, in any one of the many styles used over the years. But it might be helpful if we clarify the current situation re the "raised" badges: For older models that first used the rais...

Yes we are still very much in business.! However decided we needed a break this week. For some reason the technology failed. ie answerphone appears to have gone on strike, or tripped out due to overload. Plus mobile phone/email does not seem to like the remote bit of europe we are in. Normal service...
